settings for new galleries

When you are using the Upload Pictures page and choose to upload into a new gallery, why does this new gallery not appear on your main Scrapbook page? I would think either it would be the default that new galleries are linked to the top level, or that in the window that pops up where you name the new gallery, there would be the option to choose the links for that gallery while you are making it. It is annoying to have to go back and do it later from the Manage page.

Or, is there a setting somewhere that I don't know, where I can make it so that all my galleries automatically are linked to the top level?

I've been havng that same probem lately. That and the fact that when I create a new gallery, it doesn't show up in the pull down menu for me to add pics to, I have to type the name in like I'm creating a new gallery. There are galleries that I created weeks ago that don't show up.

i tried setting up a new gallery today... i finally got it done after a lot of trial and error and going in a very roundabout manner... when i tried to simply create new gallery- i would fill in the create new form, then get an error on the page, so i tried again and again... and again... but when i looked in my manage galleries menu after a few minutes, i found 6 new galleries (the one i'd been creating but kept getting an "error on page" message)...

so i deleted all but one of the galleries, and uploaded pictures to it. then the pictures wouldnt show up in the gallery.

so in manage galleries i selected the option to delete that gallery but save the pictures- which tossed all the pictures into an "unsorted" gallery.

then i went in and edited the unsorted gallery with my intended gallery infor and picture descriptions... now it looks just fine.

so... yeah... that took longer than i believe it ought to have.
