Quick and Probably Dumb Question

Previous Entry Quick and Probably Dumb Question Nov. 11th, 2005 @ 01:01 pm Next Entry
Hey all -

I browsed through the last few weeks and didn't find anything on this, so if I am missing it, please beat me. Figuratively of course.

I have my gallery linked on my webpage. Unfortunately my frames are killing me because when you open a picture, it makes a horizontal scrolling bar (i.e. my photos are too wide). Is there any way to allow a new "pop-up" for the picture that can be brought up by clicking the thumbnail? Or should I just go through and resize?

If I set it to a pixel size of 450x450, the pictures work, but I'm so anal retentive and it doesn't look right to me.

If you have paint shop pro (I use the older JASC 5.0 version, I expect the newer ones and Corel's to do the same, but can't swear by it), you can tell it how many pixels either on the X or Y axis and it will automatically figure out the correct proportion for the other one (if you change X, it will figure Y or if you change Y, it will figure X for you). I like it, sooo easy and so uncomplicated (unlike photoshop!).

If your original scan was 1000x800 pixels and you resize it down to 450x450, it definitely won't look right. Hopefully your image editing program has a smart function like the PSP does.
