Problems with certain styles

Previous Entry Problems with certain styles Sep. 16th, 2005 @ 12:13 am Next Entry
I have had a problem with a couple of the available styles for the scrapbook. When using "Portfoloroid" or "Smoove", many of my individual galleries have weird empty gaps on their display pages, like so: http://pics.livejournal.com/limpingpigeon/gallery/0000cgxe

It usually happens if I happen to re-order the pictures in a gallery. Is there any way I'm missing to keep this from happening (aside from not trying to change the order of the pictures in the future).

Looks fine to me - I'm viewing at 1024x768 on an IE-based browser.

Actually... uhhh.. this is weird. I attempted to make this post quite a while. At least a week ago, and the post is just now showing up. I have since changed my style... I'll see if I can switch it back.

Try this link this page seems to be doing it: http://pics.livejournal.com/limpingpigeon/gallery/00001s5k

I'll probably eventually change it back, as I think I just liked the 5-on-a-page setup better anyway. But I just didn't know if anyone else had encountered this.

it's to do with all the thumbnails to the left having one more line of text than the others, so its "wrapping" your next line to start there. Just kind of a "feature" of how the layout works, the FAQ mentions it happening with one of the settings, but it isn't very clear about what is going on.

if you have more text under the pic than the space in the layout allows for it will make it so that a pic cannot be displayed below. If a pic were displayed there, the text would run into it. The gap is where a pic is left out in order to make room for your description. Perhaps make your description shorter or change the ammount of space you are allowing between each row of pics.
