Previous Entry Question... Jun. 14th, 2005 @ 02:50 pm Next Entry
I would like to empty most of the pics from Photobucket "into" my ScrapBook account, but I only see the option to "browse" my system. Is there anyway to get the pics directly from my Photobucket, or do I have to re-save all of the pics back onto my PC first, then upload them to Scrap Book?

Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

It would be more simpler to just save all the pics onto your PC and than re upload them. I only use PB as a back up. The simple way is the most easiest way. Even if takes a little time.

You should back them up, in any case. I have had pics disappear from my Scrapbook twice now.

Disappear? That, of course, shouldn't happen. Ever. Did you report this to support?

No but I've seen it reported before, here, so I figured it had been.

if you don't report it, then there is no acurate idea of how big the problem is.

You should always save a copy of your photos to your local machine anyway. Re-uploading is a pain in the neck, but you can use the client to upload many at once.

I actually did have all of them backed up...but we recently upgraded/cleaned out my system and forgot to copy my image files back over...so I lost everything that was not on photobucket or in my user icon page.

we can do it for userpics. being able to do it for scrapbook images would be handy.

but it might promote "stealing" copyrighted images.

Click "Browse", then enter the URL of the image into the filename box and click open. It'll save a copy of the file to a temporary folder, and put the location of the temp file in the filename box on the upload page.

You said "PC", so it should work. Sorry to the Mac users, I don't know if this does the same thing.

It didn't work :(

(Link)
First of all, it did not allow me to "paste" the link to the image.

So, I typed in the address, but I got a message saying "No picture uploaded".

Thanks anyway.

Might I ask what operating system and browser you use?

paste the URL of the image into the "open..." dialog box by typing CTRL and V at the same time while the cursor is in the box. The click 'open'.

Nope...it's still looking to upload from my PC instead of Photobucket..so I'll just have to do it the hard way.
