Scaling of pictures

I'm not sure I've seen this anywhere so I'll toss it out as a suggestion here. One of the things I store on my pics.livejournal account is my moodtheme images. In this case, they're pretty small pictures, all around the 30 * 30 range. When I view the gallery page for that gallery though, I see all the images blown up to 100 * 100, or whatever the thumbnail settings for the style I'm currently using are, which looks rather odd and ugly. So, my suggestion is that the thumbnailing algorithm should not blow up images, just shrink them for galleries which actually contain pictures (a behaviour which, when I get round to it, I'm going to mimic in a custom style). Any chance of that?
i want to load my pics to live journal. how do i do that?

Although I admit this could be useful, it'll miss up layouts that use depend on all the thumbnails being the same width (I'm pretty sure there are layouts that depend on this--I'd have to double-check, but I think Smoove does). So, it could cause problems.
Not necessarily, just show the 30x30 icon in the centre of a 100x100 box.

I figured out how to fix this, if you're still having trouble.
Go to the "Edit Styles" page, and click on the "Thumbnails" tab. There, you will see various options about thumbnails. Go to the gallery one, and change the dropdown box to "Cropped". This will show them in their actual size, if they're smaller than 100x100.
If you're not sure what I mean, here is my gallery of moodtheme images
. See, they're all 100x50, just like they should be! :)
