Upload problems STILL
Jan. 20th, 2005 @ 02:40 pm
I know something about upload problems has been put here, but everyone said things were ok now. However, I am STILL having problems.
I've been trying to upload pictures for the past hour or so.
I tried doing 10 at a time, but only one would upload. So I tried doing them individually, but none of the other 9 will upload.
I either get a "Server error" message or a broken image once the photo has "uploaded."
try the windows client.
upload to the unsorted gallery.
use web interface to sort images.
this method works for me.
otherwise, try decreasing your batch load.
you know what I like using Semagic. . .and then using the web to sort them. . .
dont think i've been able to get semagic to work right (with hooking up to pics.lj).
but i could very welljust suck at it.
if semagic works for people, awesome. :)
course I haven't tried any of the clients recently.
I am having the same problem.

I had a similar problem but it turned out to be the file type. I made sure they were .jpg and it worked fine. Took me a while to realise as I'm a bit dim.

i had this same problem, but just resaved the files and reuploaded them and it worked fine o_O
I am also having this problem.
The website gives me either a broken picture or an error message (in firefox) that says: Server Error: couldn't parse upload: Couldn't find separator, no more data to read.
FotoBilder Client gives me this error message (in HTML markup): INTERNAL SERVER ERROR. The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Semagic gives me this error message: Error sending file. Error: The connection with the server was reset.
I'm uploading a set of three jpgs. I have also tried each jpg individually.

Same problem, however when I email picture posts, I get a "Error uploading pict: Data sent does not match MD5" with the mismatching checksums. (See post here

Apparently not. I just tried and got the same problem. I have checked my end. Everyting is ok with this end. Want to see what yall did to mess it up again?

Did you get MD5 mismatch errors? That's what we're talking about here.

I was having the same problem. It seems once an image is loaded wrong, it won't load right until you alter the image (crop it by a pixel, red-eye remove, auto-correct, tint, something to change the MD5 hash). Renaming the file doesn't help, and updating the date modified without changing the internal data structure does not seem to help.
