Sprint picturephone problems
Dec. 24th, 2004 @ 04:46 pm
I just got a Sprint picture/videophone, and am having difficulty posting my pictures through the email gateway. I have enabled both the originating address ("mynumber"@messaging.sprintpcs.com) and the reply-to address ("username"@gmail.com) in my phone post options. I send the pictures to babyraven+"mypin"@post.livejournal.com and it seems to upload fine... but nothing ever shows up in my actual journal. Am I missing a step somewhere?
maybe it just goes to your gallery until you specify it to go into your journal, like with an a href code or something
naw, it should get posted automatically behind a cut.
i don't supposed you have a new Scrapbook gallery called LJ_emailpost?
Try emailing a photo to a different email address (like email@example.com) and seeing if it goes through correctly that way.
It works fine to my other email addresses. I guess I'll just have to email them to myself, dl them, and post 'em manually. Oh well.
I think if you just send a pic it won't make an lj post. have you tried sending a pic with a message with it?
Yeah, no dice. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I have a sprint phone too, and last i checked they weren't supporting them because they did it differently than other cell companies.
Ah, bummer. Thanks for the info, though. :)

I hope they get around to it though. It's annoying. I went ahead and used Movable type and wrote my own thing that fetches the image, although for some reason sprint started blocking me or something.
Those bastards. First they force us to use their own ringers and apps, and now they shut you down from posting your own pics? Lame. Stupid Sprint.
How weird, I saw the notice about increased space and thought I'd try it, but I guess that's why it's not working. Poopy sprint!
Also, when you email stuff from sprint, it emails a link to the pictures in your pcs album instead of including it as an attachment. That's probably why it doesn't work.
Still, it didn't post the test message I sent, either. Tbththth!
My sprint phone isn't working with it either. UGH!
I have a sprint phone...
I usually just take the pic and email it to my yahoo addy and right click and save to my pc and upload.
umm does anybody know how to email a picture to a picture phone?
