Email posting and thumbnails

So I've been using the email posting for a while now to post pictures directly from my phone. Works fantastic.
There's just one thing that annoys me. It posts the picture behind a cut, which I want, but it also resizes it into a thumbnail. The worst part is that the thumbnails are 320x240, but the original pictures are only 352x288. So it's not a matter of huge download differences, but of a minor difference and supreme annoyance. Is there any way I can have it skip the thumbnail step?

Sorry, no ideas about skipping the thumbnail step.Well, once again my friend, we find that science is a two-headed beast. One head is nice, it gives us aspirin and other modern conveniences,...but the other head of science is bad! Oh beware the other head of science, Arthur, it bites!

Not currently, no. Though I could make this an lj-header option.
Is there any downside anyone can think of to allowing the disabling of resizing?
as long as it was per user (like set in my pics.lj prefs) no...:)

It would be per-message, though perhaps making some lj-header defaults per user would be useful.
I'm not sure how hard/easy this would be to implement, but, maybe have profiles, like for a cell phone, so that anytime a post by email was recieved from [cell phone's email address] it would use these options to post the pics?
i.e. if I post from my phone it doesn't resize, but if I post by email from gmail it would? This might actually end up better in the post by email stuff.
Another way might be to have thresholds, as in if the image was within like 50px or 10-15% of the resize dimensions, it wouldn't resize.

As long as you insure the image is behind a cut when resizing is disabled then there shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise... ouch.
How about a way to not put the pictures behind a cut?

Oh, I've got a question about cell phone posting pictures.
Really? I've been trying to two days to get my phone to post to the Live Journal Scrapbook.
I have a samsung e317. I have been able to sent MMS pictures to my textamerica.com moblog just fine, but when i enter the email address (mgosie+"pin"@post.livejournal.com) it won't work. I rooted around for a bit and realized, I have to enter an "email" address of the "phone" that I'm sending from. I've never sent email from my phone. Called up CINGULAR got my email address firstname.lastname@example.org plugged that in to the LJ acceptable email accounts to receive photos from, and NOTHING posts still.
So now I'm cornfused and would really like the paid scrapbooking to accept my pictures.
Any advice would be appreciated. :)

Re: Oh, I've got a question about cell phone posting pictures.
Second update: I have now figured out that my phone email is
email@example.com (not the mobile.mycingular.com).
....now after I tried sending a picture, I get the following JOURNAL post error message, with no picture. Any idea?
(Error uploading pict: Data sent does not match MD5: got=93652 you=0076ea5c80a2302f278e6f1216f87eb6 saw=ed7c70bafac9d8bd7308e9403a8453b6)
