do you mean to add a title and description to the picture? or to upload a base image and then have text be inserted into the image?

this would have to be coded into fotobilder and itd prolly be complicated.

you would have to upload the image using the web interface, choose where you want the text to be, the font, the color, if animated it gets even trickier.

its best to make the animation/whatever on your computer using an image editor such as paint shop pro or adobe photoshop.

the web interface of fotobilder allows for cropping/resizing/rotating/etc.

it actually doesnt affect the original image, it just saves the changes in a different way and displays the altered image each time it is loaded.

trust me, i know how difficult image editing is. its no picnic. ;)

i highly doubt that it will be implemented due to the complexity that it could potentially have.

I doubt the possibility of it being an additional feature to fotobuilder, much less, your own copyright into the upload. I suggest just making your own copyright on paint if anything, and using it for every picture. Like a signature. A simple copy and paste should do it. Shouldn't take too much of your time. Really isn't so hard either. I hope this helps.

ArcSoft makes PhotoStudio -- it is a lot cheaper than PhotoShop (sometimes you can get it for free) and although it doesn't have all the whistles and bells, it does what you're asking.

I doubt FotoBuilder will ever add this as a feature because they are just a hosting site and not designed to manipulate photos.

Good luck!

This is do-able. ImageMagick can do it with no problems, so we could code it into the FB server.

That said, I wouldn't hold my breath on it. It's not trivial and we're currently swamped with other projects. :-/

The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) will do this sort of thing, and is available for free for Windows and Macintosh as well as Unix, but it is not particularly easy to use.

Here's the home page, and this page has an installer for Windows. Documentation is available from the links on the home page.

I bet there are also special-purpose freeware programs out there for specifically this purpose, but off the top of my head I don't know of any in particular.

Yes, I personally know that its not that hard to program, just a few simple lines of code that edit the image, place text of your choice on it, and save it. Then again, I'm not familar with things this large.

But, I think it'd be better if you did it in your own program.
