Paid status ends
Sep. 6th, 2004 @ 06:10 pm
What happens to my pictures after my paid status ends? Are they deleted? Are they still embeddable in posts?
Whatever the response is, may I suggest the answer be added to the User Info of fotobilder_user

Whatever the answer, it'll most likely be incorporated into this FAQ
once pics is officially released and officially supported.
i think whitaker
stated a while back what happens. i think your pics.lj account just freezes and you cant change the layout or add anything. you might not even be able to move/rename/delete anything either.
this is just speculation.
off-topic: love the icon.
This needs to be better-documented in the future, but here's a brief explanation. Your account will go through a series of "degredation levels" before it is eventually nonfunctional: (days are measured in time since account has expired_
# d1: less than 3 days
# - full read access, no uploads
# d2: older than 3 days
# - private access to gallery
# - no uploads
# - full management access
# d3: older than 10 days
# - no uploads
# - no gallery
# - management access
# - limited pic size in management area
This is taken almost directly from code, so hopefully it makes sense.

Then it won't really matter anymore now will it!

Beta testing ability has always been dependent on having a paid account. Even though you have the old 'fotobilder beta' cap, you don't have a paid account so your disk quota is 0.
There is no special "beta testing" privilege anymore... it's just all paid/perm users are able to use fotobilder, but the software's still at a beta level of maturity...
I was replying to the anonymous comment on what will happen if you die.
