I'm designing a custom style and I have a couple of S2 questions. Firstly, where can I find some documentation on $*thumbnails and what are allowable values for it? Secondly the $.trails variable on the PicturePage doesn't seem to be being filled up - is this just an oversight? It's possibly the same on the other pages - haven't tried it there. Same also seems to be true of $.galleries, which I don't care about so much. I'm using the $.parent_links for the time being, but that only gives me the galleries which directly contain the picture - e.g. Alex, Cassie instead of People -> Alex and People -> Cassie (which is what I assume trails would give me). Oh, load_gallery_previews doesn't seem to be available either.
Couple of feature suggestions: using fotobilder, I've been able to do most of the things I can do with my current galleries (http://www.tinyjo.net/gallery/) but there are a couple of things that I would like to see. The first is that I prefer to display the full details about a picture, including what galleries and so on it belongs to everywhere it's displayed. Currently I only seem to have access to that on PicturePage, which is annoying (or should, but don't - see above). The other thing that I like to do is display on the front page a few random pictures from anywhere in my album. I can see that I can get random pictures from a specific array of pictures, but that doesn't help. The first one is probably just me, but I think the second one would definitely be cool.
And finally, a suggestion for gallery URLs. What I would like to be able to do is link to http://pics.livejournal.com/tinyjo/gallery-short-name/ to get to an individual gallery, a bit like the links to read friends groups on LJ. I haven't checked to see if short names must be unique, but otherwise this should work. I'm not sure if it should be heirachical (e.g. http://pics.livejournal.com/tinyjo/parent-gallery/child-gallery/) or not, but yeah, throwing it out there.
If any of this is out of place here, please give me a shout and I'll yoink it - I'm still new here.
