okay, simple problem, I believe. I tried just using the upload page, and it stops just before finishing the file, no matter the size. so i'm using the XP client, but Scrapbook doesn't appear under the available places to publish to.

can anyone help?

I'm not sure about the upload page issue, but I've got a tip for your XP client issue...

ScrapBook will not come up as a an option to publish to unless the file type is one that ScrapBook accepts, so make sure you're not trying to upload something it doesn't like. Like bitmaps - in other words, something you'd save from Paint if you're using Windows. This is a common mistake.

Paint can save jpegs though, which ScrapBook will accept. Just do a Save As and pick jpeg from the save as type drop down.

Just for reference, the acceptable types are jpg, tif, png, and gif.

Good luck!

Saving as a jpg in paint gives icky results... save as png, which will keep the image from getting wildly distorted.

Or don't use paint at all, which would be my ultimate recommendation!

Well yes, but so many don't realize that their printers and cameras come with pretty decent and simple editing programs or they're too scared to even try anything else.
